I didn't even read what started the yellow, I only read the 8th page, but if you're looking for yellow pics:

How about no. . . . I like the flame idea, but I don't think the painter wants to put in that much time. . . My Blazer had flames, so I obviously do know how to tape them, but I think I have everyone's (almost everyone's) support if I paint it orange with black stripes. Simple, yet surprisingly unique. What should my License plate say? I was thinking about it, and that would finish my car. Too bad it's illegal to paint it a different color. . .

Get one of those plates with the bridge on it they are orange. I think the reverse of that 3rd gen would look good. Orange Flames on Black! that would be hot! Dude you can buy my rims. There is a place in toledo that will chrome em too! These are would not be hard to get a great chome on. Plus they'll buy you time so you can fix up the paint and motor before you get em chromed. A lot cheaper than buying new rims and tires! Jen's dad just got his bumpers of his thunderbirds chromed there. Very Nice. I'll be going to make a down payment on the C5 rims this week if the guy will take payments. If you want to throw that $200 in and get me those rims faster that will get you mine faster. Let me know. You can come with us and meet the guy. He runs ACI American Custom Incorporated. Awesome Corvette Shop. Has one of the most beautiful corvettes I have ever seen inside the shop!

Your car would look like this but in orange with these wheels!

actually it wouldn't look anything like that. You don't have ZR-1s you have 16" stock rims and those look like 17s on that car, they would look just like mine, gay. Save up some cash and get something different, a nice set of 18" HP Evo rims in black with the polished lip would look killer IMO and probably cost around a grand. You actually have to save up and pay for something unique and good looking.

I realize mine are not the ZR1 Rims but they are 5 spoke wheels that if chromed would appear very similiar to those pictured (besides the recess in the center). That pic was just an example. I'm looking to upgrade in the next month and Nick could use some new rims on his car. Neither of us has the cash up front but together we both benefit. I think $400 for an entire set of wheels and tires is a steal considering the prices I've seen elsewhere for them.

no I don't doubt that at all I'd like to get $450 out of mine with tires when I'm said and done, I just pointed out the fact that nothing on that car was something that would be on his. btw those chrome C5s will look bad ass on your car wish I could afford some new rims.

Thanks man. I appreciate the clarification. I'm sure you could easily get $450 for yours. Hell for that price I'd be interested. If you think about it, 450/4 wheels = 112.50 a wheel. If you figure a used tire is worth about $35 from your local tire place, that means your only getting $77.50 a wheel. I've seen junkyards charge more.

I think you CAN actually paint your license plate, just run it by the Secretary of the State first. I know a few guys that have, one didn't put his tags ontop of the paint so he got pulled over, the other guys had tags ontop of the paint and as far as I know haven't gotten pulled over yet.

Yes I think it has been decided. Nick Clean up the orange and add the black stripes. It is what first caught you eye. You can put one of those shade things over the plate and that would work nicely.

Thanks. . . I don't know about those wheels yet, and I don't really have the patience to save money for very long. . . I'll see if I can get some cash, maybe we can swap wheels until you get your new ones. . . . Anybody want my flat black 3rd gen Camaro wheels? I accept trades. . . . lol

I think I'll give the guy $500 for 1x front and 1x back wheels to test fit them and make sure they are right. I am going to go thursday maybe. You interested??
