If you want to get technical, Zaino is a sealant. It is not a polish in any way shape or form, regardless of the fact that it is stated as such on the bottle(s).

I have to agree on this. Zaino is not truely a polish. A polish contains abrasives that remove miniscule amounts of the "dead layer" from the surface of the paint. From the levels of harshness, compound, polish, wax. Polishes will help with fine swirl marks. Polishes will help with oxidation. Polishes will help restore shine. Zaino doesn't do any of these things, it can't even help remove something as simple as a watermark from the surface of the paint. So if we get technical on terminology, then Zaino is no where near a polish... just something that coats and protects the surface of the paint.

Most of my replies in this thread have been with 06camarodude's original question in mind, and for his benefit.

Zaino offers a product it calls SHOW CAR POLISH. There is a reason it is called that, and customers can easily recall that name because of the results. If you choose to call it a sealant, I have no problem with that - it is way more durable than wax. Zaino offers several products in their SHOW CAR POLISH system. Polish. Claybar. Carwash concentrate. Polish Lok. Swirl Remover. Gloss Enhancer. These are the products I use and recommend. Claybar is not a Polish, nor is it a polishing compound. It will refurbish existing paint. Paint repair and new paint are not issues that Zaino products currently deal with - that's for a body/paint shop, and that is where wheeling and polishing with polishing compound are expected to be done.

I have only bought one new car in my life - I don't like buying new cars, but if I didn't order my Hawk, I knew I would never be able to own it (it wouldn't be made, and if another is like it, none have been for sale that I've found in the past 4 years). My other 2 vehicles now are trucks, both 4WD, driven year round, a 95 S10 I got in 99, and a 98 Dodge Ram I got in 05. Both are black, both had paint issues when I got them. The S10 had a hood that mostly looked black, but from some angles it had some weird bluish haze. Zaino made all of the noticable paint issues go away.
A friend had a 20-year old van, did a section with my Zaino stuff, and he found out what his paint looked like when it was new.
I'm not talking solely about only experience with my Hawk's paint. The Hawk is the only F-Body I currently own, so that's in my avatar.

I have already pointed out the difference between Polish and polishing with polishing compound. It seems to have been ignored. There is no need for me to reply further in this thread, it seems. Zaino SHOW CAR POLISH is not abrasive, and is not to be used to abrade your paint, or in place of a polishing compound. Zaino claybar WILL restore your shine, and then you can retain that look by Polish Loking it, and then improve upon that by adding layers of Zaino Polish. Zaino will not repair your bubbled paint, nor turn your rusted spot of bare metal into paint.
