Hey. im going to get a triple gauge pod here soon when i order my stall. I need a trans temp gauge and want to get two others. I want them to be white face that light up red at night. I want them to be functional though and for a purpose, not a clock or anything. I plan on going FI in the future but i cant buy a boost gauge before im boosted. I was thinking fuel pressure, trans am and one other one..... Maybe something i can use now but will also be necessary for boost later on? The boost gauge will go in the center AC vent. Let me know. Not looking to drop 100$ per gauge, maybe like $50 for each, which ones and brand/style?

Well autometer gauges seem to be the best, maybe not the most cost effective but there worth it. I personally got my trans temp and plan on installing in next to my TCS switch in the middle console then later down the road filling a 3 gauge a-pillar pod for monitoring my FI. No need to get gauges that aren't useful right now. Mount it in the center vent until you go FI then switch it with the boost gauge and move it to the A-pillar.Doing less with more

When i get my pillar its going to have Air/Fuel and Engine Oil Temp. If i get a triple i might do a secondary oil pressure or tach-Joel

go with a fuel air ratio gauge... very nice to have not really needed all that much in a stock setup but if you add boost or change it later it will help tuning... and besides that the little red to green dial is great when you stomp on it...lol... hmm maybe a fuel pressure... or manifold temp gauge...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. for white face thats cheep swing over to advanced auto or auto zone they carry auto meter sun pro and a few others i just got priced ont he auto meter the smaller guages were about 38-58 bucks but its nice gauges white face for one brand... i mean you could go to auto zone and buy the sunpro gauge for fuel air ratio thats what i have in my grand prix thats only like 35 bucks.... but its just white you would have to toss a red bulb behind it or something...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. So what do you think? For now i definately will need Trans Temp, maybe fuel pressure and ive heard the A/F is jsut a light show and doesnt work well at all. I basically cant decide on the other 2?sigpic

well they work well but really on a fuel injected motor with no major mods there really is no reason to have the AF that would be more or less if your affraid your running rich or lean from no2 or larger injectors intake.. whatever the case may be... maybe sometime down the line you will need it but as of right now the check engine light is just as good to tell you when your 02 sensor is out...lol really without alot of mods there isnt alot of aftermarket guages your going to need yet... just think of what you plan to do int he future and get what you will need... better to run all the wires now and have the gauge set so all you have to do is plug it in when you need it...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice.
