WOOHOO! My status on MIFBody has just gone up from "visitor" to "regular!" I've been trying to reach that goal for days! I think I have the highest number of points out of anyone that is still on the "newest members" board!

I decided not to tint my windows just to avoid cop trouble all together. I don't want to give them any reasons to pull me over

Also ill mention i was pulled over for it cruising one saturday night. 35%, come on, anyway the cop jsut said ok, get that fixed. no fix it ticket or anything. He was cool and prolly jsut pulled me over for a reason to check for drunk drivers. Oh well. its still on there

I don't need any more reason to get pulled over. I am 17, I drive a Camaro with glasspacks (LOUD AS HELL!), and it is bright orange. A teenager in a fast-looking car is always a target where I live. The tint I had was just the 20% static cling tint, so I'll put it back on for shows and stuff, but not for everyday driving.

I had 35 on mine for a whole month and then got pulled over with my mom in the passenger seat while I was on my way to my grandmas (y'kno, clambaking in the process of going over to my crackwhore grandma's house, c'mon now, he could easilly see it was an older lady in the passenger seat cause he was on the passenger side when he saw me go by) anyway, got the fix-it ticket, tore the tint off, went to the Sterling Heights police station and told them I took it off, he didn't even check just said ok. What a waste. Now I really need to find a way to get around that damn law, with my carPC I really want my 35% tint back just to help hide the screen from passerbys.

you can get a prescription from an optomotrist (spelling?) "eye doctor" for "photosensative eyes" it's a load of crap, but if you have a little piece of doctors paper with a sig on it...the cops can't give you shit. however no matter what the windshield is illegal. but with a doc note you can have black painted windows on the sides for all they care! my boss has a note and doesn't get hassled. however he has a bright yellow H2 with DETAIL EXPRESS all down the side and GOT TINT? on the back window. he was actually pulled over one day coming to work. the cop said you know why im pulling you over? my boss said "lemme guess....tint?" but he had a note and just left with nothing!.... i know kids that i went to school with would steel the script notes from mommy or daddy that where docs...(after all i did go to west bloomfield HS and i know some of you know the rep from that school) anyways...yeah i need a doc. note.

Man i need to get one of those notes.... could i go all the way down to 5% and it still be effective? However that is pretty damn dark. Also matt, what does your shop charge to do tint for my sides and rear hatch? And if i were to get a doctors note, how much darker should i go? I have 35% now and its a pretty good job so maybe jsut throw more on top?

I just wish I could get my hands on one of those doctors notes. I don't think an eye doctor is going to say "Sure, here you go!" and I don't exactly have a longstanding relationship with any eye doctor as my eyes, last time I had a check up, are better than perfect vision.

Hmm I gotta go back to pick up my new contacts in a week or so. If I did get my hands on one how much would you pay? lol maybe I'd tint the windows then.

Yea i have real bad eyes and have to use contact/glasses. My family has a pretty good relationship with the eye doctor so i dont see getting one of these as a problem. What do i need him to say on it? Also Matt get back to me when you get a chance of what you think i should do and how much youd charge?

woa i just passed out for like 2 hours and came back to tons of new posts.....catch up time..... i don't know how to go about actually getting one of those notes. cause like i said everyone i know that has one they are fake lol. but yeah with a doc note you can have limo on your sides. given you will probably get pulled over often with limo on your sides....you won't get a ticket or anything. i think it's like $175 for a camaro/firebird tint job at my work. that's with any shade tint. we have 50% 35% 15% and 5%....and then we also have some platnum tints in like 35% and 20% i think. but yeah with a docs not cops can't do shit about your side windows tinted
