thats another thing i need to try sometime... i wanted to stay legal, but im breaking the rules on just about everything else, might as well go all out.

for sure....if anything atleast tint your rear hatch window...if it isn't already. and the side windows make a car look so clean!... even though my sides are the lightest tint, it's better than nothing!

ya i need to get mine done this summer i already tryed doing the hatch thats going to be a ***** and a half.. ill let someone else try it...lol i wish michigan would get with it on window tint laws... i only got one fix it ticket and it was way up north by a cop im sure was desperate for human interaction at the time... he bull shitted with me for like 15 20 minutes then said oh by the way you cant have the fronts tinted this much...lol i would have taken him to get a beer he didnt have to make me strip all the work... so now my grand prix only has the 4 inch strip on the fronts.. ahh well only victim so far..

ahh yes i hate the 4 inch "legal" strip....whenever people come in to get their windows tinted at my work they always ask "what's legal" and i tell them the 4 inch thing but i don't suggest it. i usually talk people into 35% on the sides cause it's light. but since i have 35% on my windshield..last time i had 35% on my sides too i gotta ticket....like the real 2 point obstructed vision ticket..and a tinted taillight "defective equipement" ticket.... but yeah i've had a ton of the "fix-it tickets"...those are just a waste of my time!

i kinda understand the no windshield law.. some people are stupid enough they would put 5% on the windshield just to be "gangster" enough... i usually just use like a stip that says pontiac or at most will toss like a 6 inch strip on the top but the sides.. just stupid should be able to do atleast 35% on them not just to block the sun but protect the interior from heat... i have all black cars besides one... and without tint you die after a while... last year was killer in the TA... maybe ill just go register my car in canada so i wont have to deal with the hassel...lol

yea...you can get a doctors note that says you have "photosensative eyes" lol it's really a joke, but it works, my boss has one. but it only lets you tint your sides. anything on the windshield is still illegal. which is gay. my 35% on my windshield looks really good!...my boss has limo (5%) all the way aronud his H2... with the 5% over the factory 15% on the back....the ***** is DARK!!! he had 35% on his windshield too but he got a ticket 2 days after he did it

i thought you could put a 4 inch strip on the top and bottom of the windshield and still get away with it? i see a tone of cars with the double strip top and bottom i know you can do the top of the windshield to the stock line or where they already tinted it.. usually that little arrow on the glass shows where you can go to... we should just start a petition... get enough sigs and complaints im sure someone would want to get re-elected and try to push it through...

ok tomarrow im going to get my tint done i just have the small back window, b/c its a convt. So im going 5% on the back but should i do 35%on the side or 15% i have been planing on 15% but idk im worryed about getting tickets.
So should i do the 15% and say F it or do the 35% and i kno both are illegal but i kno with 35% i will most likey not get any tickets

it doesn't matter. i've had 15% and 35% on my sides before. both are dark as hell. because of the way camaros and firbirds are...when you look in the side windows you are lookin down at the seats. so it always appears darker. especially if you have a hard top like mine...of a vert. t-tops let light in and make it seem "lighter" but 15% will look like 5% on the sides. unless it's a super sunny ass day out. nobody will be able to see in. and the 35% on the sides will still look pretty dark. if you are worried about being hassled i'd go with the 35%. i just have a bad tint ticket record, because the joke for a city my work is in (keego harbor) is like 2 square miles big and has about 15 cops/cars. and there is this one cop who is a DICK!!! he knows me and still pulls me over.
my 2 cents is go with the 35% on the sides!

I just put 20% on my side windows. I got the cheap "static cling" type stuff that I can take off without any hassle. It cleans up the look of the car very nicely. Plus, it already has dark tint on the back hatch window from the previous owner. . . needs to be replaced though. I hear that the cops by where I live are really strict about that kind of stuff, so it's only a matter of how long the tint stays on. . . lol

After my tint fix-it ticket, I'm no longer messing around with that unless I can get some doctor to give me a prescription for tinted windows.

In any case, tho, all this talk about tinting windows...

heres my tint, im not sure what % it is but ive never been pulled over,the back hatch is ether limo or close to it. my step dad has the same tint on his monte carlo and hes been puled over 3 times because of it, i think cops think its stock on a camaro
