It is a fun hobby, can get expensive if you let it though haha...

Generally, the longer you let them bottle condition (sit in the bottle) the better they are. The first brew we made didn't taste very good at first... We brewed it mid-December and bottled it beginning of January. I just had one last weekend, it tastes much better now.

On LS1GTO, there are some guys on there that will buy bottles of beer from the store and let them condition for years. At a bar around here a new owner bought it after it had closed down and reopened it. He found a bunch of different beers in the basement of the place, one was called Tom Hardy's and was bottled in 1987! They are actually numbered, so there was a limit on how many were produced. They're like $50-$100 for like a 6oz bottle now. I didn't get to taste it, but I kept the bottle haha.. I've never seen a beer that is numbered and dated from that long ago, its pretty cool.
    Back for the first time.
