      • Hi everybody:

I just wanted to take the time to thank everybody that showed up. I know its not easy to drive 2 hours each way in the snow. I apologize for those of you that brought your birds. I did not expect the weather to change so drastically. I only caught a glimpse of the cars that showed but they looked great and sounded even better! I am very glad that everybody made it home safely.

I also am very impressed. A large portion of our club staff showed up and we had a lot of worthwhile discussion on the details of the club. It was wonderful to meet all of you guys!

If anyone runs into Doug please thank him for me. The restaurant he suggested was great!

I will post the minutes I took later on to fill the rest of you in. Lots of things going on. I'll keep you posted.

Until then, mark your calenders for our second meeting. It will be held at an event called the "Pontiac Dust off" in April. If someone has the details of location and time please post it. Sounds like it should be a great season starter show.

          • Hey Ben,

I'm glad to hear your first meeting was a success. Glad you liked the restaurant, too. It has worked well for our Camaro Superfest planning meetings, as it's midway for the east and westsiders. Now you've got something to build on. It will be a fun ride!

We had a great WMCC meeting today too. We met at a Famous Dave's BBQ here in Grand Rapids. Had a good turnout with 45 people attending.

Everyone should venture over to Grand Rapids this coming weekend to check out the Autorama. We'll have a 10 car Club display. (It's a lot of work!)
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

            • The Pontiac Spring Dustoff is held at Bob Sellers Pontiac in Davisburg. They've somehow gotten affiliated with the GM special vehicle department, and last year GM brought out 6 show cars including a 1909 Oakland, a 1926 Pontiac couple (the FIRST Pontiac built), and a Solstice GXP turbo.

130 cars showed up, so this may be a good show to make a presence at. Looks like there's mostly older stuff, but there were a few 3rd and 4th gens there.

Still looking for a date...don't think they've announced it yet.

There's also an "All Pontiac" show sponsered by Bob Sellers that is at the 12 Oaks Mall in Novi sometime in the summer.

No date announced for that one yet either.

And it was really good to meet everyone and put a face to a name.

Nice job on setting it all up, Ben

                    • Frank from Firebird Nation posted these pics over at FirebirdNation.com so I figured I would repost them here for those that are not signed up at FirebirdNation.com.

The Silver 4th Gen Firebird is Angie's (FireBirdGirl02) and the White 3rd Gen is Frank's.

Looks like Frank did not get a chance to take a picture of Mike Z's (turbocreeper) Black 4th Gen or Mike M's (MikeM) Red 4th Gen.

                          • Yeah we drove from Lansing down I-96, to I-696, across I-696 to Van Dyke, and then Van Dyke all the way up to 24 mile. Long ride, weather sucked, but atleast once we got onto 696 it was all rain.
