LOL...Pontiac made 1 size block. They sure didn't make a small block.Originally posted by astroracer View PostAll Pontiac engines are considered "Big Blocks" from the 326 to 455 the block layout and configuration is the same...

I have never heard of Pontiac "big block" And I'm old lol!
Chevy was always big block / small block. Pontiac was...well...Pontiac lol.
You can say the same about Oldsmobile back in the day. But there blocks were still different from Pontiac.sigpic

Correct. And all of the parts were interchangeable for the most part (within "iterations").Originally posted by tenpin842 View PostLOL...Pontiac made 1 size block
For example: My dad had a '66 LeMans with a 326 shortblock, 389 heads and a 421 high-rise intake. All the stuff fit just fine to the stock 326.Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
