Hello… here it is….
Camaro Superfest 2008 WILL take place on Friday-Sunday, July 4-6, 2008!!
Eastern Michigan Camaro Club, host of the event, is sending out this official announcement that the event is on!! The 17th annual Camaro Superfest, now the longest running all Camaro event in the USA, will again be open for all Camaro owners!! Our event site will again, for the 3rd year, be Riverside Park in the Depot Town area of Ypsilanti, Michigan. Our HQ hotel will also again, for the 3rd year, be the Marriott at Eagle Crest, just 3 miles from the park.
Our event schedule is not quite set yet, but we are looking forward to these highlights-
Friday night Camaro Club Summit meeting, our premier Drive-to Judging, 65-88 awards in xx different classes, dash plaques and goodie bags for the first 200 registered, a drive-in movie night on Saturday at the HQ Hotel parking lot - showing TRANSFORMERS!, swap and sell area, Sunday morning service at the Park, great weather (start praying now please!), lower prices for the event and event t-shirts and a great Camaro-time with great Camaro friends!
We expect our official event flyer to be out in 2-3 weeks and at your door if you have been a past participant. We will also have our website updated in that same time frame or sooner with online registration.
The CSF-EMCC planning Team is sorry for the delay concerning this official announcement. It has been a concern that the event be able to continue and maintain our rich and great event history. While we acknowledge that there will be some changes in the event, mostly in the Judging Classes and Awards, but CAMARO SUPERFEST will be the same great event you have come to expect and enjoy! The changes we are considering are due to lower attendance figures and event budget concerns. While we love our Camaro's and our hobby, to insure that CSF continues to be the great event it has always been, we must plan for the future and what future events will cost. Our budget concerns have been met with four (and hopefully more) co-sponsors - Lou LaRiche Chevrolet (EMCC sponsor), Saturn Printing, National Parts Depot and Ecklers Camaro Parts. We THANK them for their recent show of support to our event!
Lastly, we say THANK-YOU to all of our past participants for attending the last 16 years of our event! We know there will be choices you must make in attending shows this year. We encourage you to fully support whatever shows you do attend and we sincerely hope that CAMARO SUPERFEST will be on your must attend list! We look forward to seeing you in July and to again be your hosts at CAMARO SUPERFEST 2008!!
