        Afternoon....
I'll try to keep you updated as best I can as as often as I can. Much.most of this info will also be on our website, as we get it updated.
Volunteers - first of all... THANKS!! We've got plenty of time to get you set on a job... usually that takes place in June. When you register for CSF-08, simply put MiFbody Vol on there somewhere and your entry fee will be zero. You will have to pay for any event t-shirts you want. Applications and online registration should begin in 3 weeks max.
Event schedule- here's what we have so far...
Friday - nothing planned (so far) for the afternoon. Friday evening- a Camaro Club Summit Meeting for any/all Camaro/Fbody club officers to discuss anything and everything related to our hobby. As for the cruise to Depot Town- we've heard that "they" didn't want us back (???) so we have to double check on that.
Saturday - regular show stuff during the day. Saturday night will be the drive-in movie - TRANSFORMERS - in the hotel parking lot!
Sunday - regular show stuff with awards scheduled for 2pm.
OK... not positive yet as we have to work out security issues, but it appears that BumbleBee is available for our event. But, like previous years, it must be kept indoors at the hotel lobby. It would be great to have "him" there, since we're doing the movie, but again, we have details to work out before we commit to his appearance.
Other news... t-shirt and entry fees will be REDUCED for this year!! We want this event to be as affordable as possible for everyone. Entry fee will be 20/15 (judged/drivers) pre-registration and 25/20 starting mid-June. Event t-shirts will be $12 pre-reg for S-XL & $15 for XXL-XXXL and everything will be +$3 at the event.
Judging classes- about 85 awards in 33 classes. We'll be deciding on if th eawards will remain by body style -vs- by generation. SOme of the year only classes will go back to full body style/year- ex- we had 67-68 and 69 stock/restored. This will be 67-69 stock/restored. It's these minor changes that will save us a few awards and thus keep the budget in line.
        Thanks! more later...

              Hi everyone, first post here.

Someone posted the Superfest info on the Ontario Camaro Club forum, and somehow I ended up here. I will definitely put this date in my calendar for the summer. Sounds like a good time.

                    Hello everyone… here’s a CSF update for you…..
We’re working hard to get the official flyer completed and printed this week. These should be mailed out in another 2 weeks (at our Feb 18th meeting) so you will have these by the end of the month. Our website is getting updated- Matt our web-dude has been overseas on business for a few weeks and that was the delay. Work (generally) sucks, but now-a-days work/jobs come first since they are a bit scarce around here.
We have the judging classes refigured (see below), getting last minute details on if the Friday Dinner cruise to Depot Town will happen (approx. 70% go on this), many “internal” items taken care of (hotel contract, port-a-johns, tent rental, etc….) and our club sponsor Lou LaRiche Chevrolet is most certainly onboard and supporting the event (not that there was ever a doubt). Been contacting other companies for our co-sponsorship program – business logo on the back of the event t-shirt for only $500 – so if you know anyone with a business that would like to advertise, have them get a hold of me/us! We have 4 co-sponsors so far and looking for 4-6 more only!
We have decided on our theme for CSF ’08 – Camaro Race cars!! This would include any Camaro that has seen track time- drag, road course or even IROC (the real ones, not factory IROC’s which we featured 3 years ago) or dirt track! If you know someone with a Camaro race car, encourage them to bring it to CSF and try for an award!
Mike O with Racers/Rodders for Christ will return with his great service on Sunday morning, right in the park/show area!
Tom and Classic Concessions will be returning to be our exclusive food vendor!
We could have another CSF first… as we have the chance to be IN the annual 4th of July parade that goes right through Depot Town, on Friday morning! We’re checking on if this is possible and times.
That about does it for this update. Everyone at EMCC is really looking forward to being your host for our event! More news as it becomes available….!
                    THANKS,
                    Barry, CSF Chairman

Here are the judging class line-ups for CSF ’08……
                    Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in these classes- orig-unrestored- 67-92 stock-restored; street; & modified- 67-69, 70-73, 74-77, 78-81, 82-92, 93-97, 98-02 Special Production– 67-81, 82-02 Pace-Festival Car, Pro Street, Show Car, Pro-Touring – 67-02 Theme Competition classes 67-69, 70-81, 82-92, 93-02

HELLO again!! Time for another CSF update!!

The official flyers are IN the mail... yup, all 1000+ have been mailed as of yesterday, so if you have been to our event as a participant in the last 3-5 years, you should be getting a flyer/application in the mail very soon!

                        Other new news is-
we may have a book signing at CSF! We have contacted the author of the new, latest 40th anniversary Camaro book and he is interested in doing a book sale/signing at CSF. We do not have 100% confirmation on his attending, but it looks promising and we're keeping our fingers crossed!
Livernois Motorsports is working on getting the chassis dyno back to our event! Again, not yet 100% on it being there, but contact has been made and it's up to them.
Some sad news to report, the Friday dinner cruise to Depot Town will (at this time) not happen. Seems the Depot Town DDA only wants to block off the street once a week. The Sidetrack Bar hosts a weekly cruise on Thursday night, so that could be the only one allowed. CSF Planning Team figured that having to park in teh park entrance or anywhere possible in a "regular" parking space, would not be a welcoming thing to have to do for the cruise. Other plans are being considered and we may still go before the DDA Board to make a plea for our event.

Lastly, for those who have volunteered to help with CSF... when you get your flyer-application, fill it out and mail it in with the words "MiFBODY WORKER" on it and then only send in money for event t-shirts. As mentioned before, I believe we were accepting the first 10-15 people for this free entry for work program. Thanks!
