Just drove home from Port Huron to pick up my car. This whole summer since the rebuild has been fun trying to get my car out to Steve but it seemed like every single time I finally had the chance to bring it to him, something would need to be fixed. First it was the power steering hardline backing out of the pump while he was doing the WOT tuning, then a week later the power steering pump died while I was driving home from work, then a week later the starter was going bad after driving to and from Milford, then a week later we had the dyno day and Dr Phil said the fuel pump was probably going bad because of the AFR, then I saved up to get a fuel pump and fuel pressure gauge and confirmed sure enough the stock v6 pump was going to 20psi at WOT. So, two weeks ago we replaced the pump and then it's been a matter of finding a few days where the weather was going to cooperate. Steve originally didn't think he was going to be able to let me drop the car off last night but believe it or not after I gave him the frown face when he told me he couldn't do it yesterday, he turns around and says he took Wednesday off so he could tune my car and get some other work done.
Took it to him yesterday and picked it up today and HOLY FUDGE. I asked him to find the CC503's lope. I knew it loped on the stock tune but it wanted to die when I'd come to a stop. Well, not only did he find that sex-tastic lope that I knew the CC503 had, he also made it stable so it doesn't want to die.
Car pulls a LOT harder at WOT now. Angie was following me home and the whole way down 23 Mile Rd from I-94 we were stuck behind friggen idiot drivers. So when we finally reached Romeo Planke, admittedly I nailed it. She didn't just CHIRP second, she broke loose for a good 15-20 feet going into 2nd.
I'm so in love with the idle too - I had to send Steve a text that said "warm engine + idle + cutout open = splooge" cause it's just

Camera of course does it hardly any justice but here's the video. I had the cutout closed first, then opened the cutout.
My neighbor across the street with the Chevelle ran outside because "I thought it was my buddy with a big block!"
