what do you plan on doing with the car? are you putting in a cam? if so I can put a very nice package together for you with a price you can't refuse. and as far as gasket matching yes its worth it if you do the other subtle changes to go with it.

The current plan is to put a ZZP GT1 cam in. The motor's bottom end is getting bored .030 over and Speed Pro dished 3.830 Hyper pistons (skirts not coated), Moly Rings, MI 77/Clevite bearings put in. The balance shaft is being removed and a double roller timing chain is being put in the stocker's place. I've got a set of CC beehive's w/blue stripes and Manley retainers on their way. My plan was to gasket match from the intake to the exhaust and I've got a Magnaflow cat waiting for the end. The only thing I haven't really set my mind on is the cam. Originally, I was going to go for the CC mid Xtreme: 255HR. The GT1 seemed a little milder and more toward a "driveable" cam (210deg @ .050", .507 max lift both I&E). Not completely sure if it will be sprayed (it would be dry anyway). It would be rarely used if I did.

lol I actually always ran worse times at Lapeer due to their terrible prep. My 1/8 times were always crazy fast anyways though gotta love shady tracks

My best guess would be street tires and stock converter FTL!

its still a stock auto and tranny correct? with the crappy v6 non-posi rear end? id say somewhere in the 13s.. unless gears, tranny, and tires are upgraded. Will make for one heck of a one tire fire though if it doesnt have posi lol

with it bored .030 over I would stay AWAY from spraying it unless you want to redo your engine a second time. Also if you are doing all that work to the engine you minds at least go with the gt2 cam. GT1 is for cars that are keeping everything else stock and doesn't need to be tuned.

I'm saying 14.20!! He'll screw something up on his first pass like falling asleep at the light, or spinning the heck out of that one tire that doesn't have traction!!

Nothing against you B, but we all do/did it. The butterfly's in your stomach the first time you stage will be so big you won't feel anything else........ The one thing I know for sure though, is that we better have video of that first run!!
