if you compare the cost of what you did and to swap out for a v8 honestly which is cheaper?
How much can the stock 3.8 handle safely?
How much can a stock 350 handle safely?
I have heard and read that alot of people have run as much as low 9s in with a stock v8 or as close to stock as a cam swap..
always interested me..
awesome sound for a v6..

Its cheaper than swapping for an LS-1 and this is something different also. And for a stock 350 running 9's I would like to see it.. with force induction.. It probubly has all forged internals with a blower or turbo cam. depending on what hes running. Also must have some $$$$ into the top half of the motor..
But this motor is all stock everyting stock internals and all..
you can run up to 10 PSI non intercooled and i have hear people running as hi as 20 psi with a very nice intercooler and a very good tune on 93 oct.. with 50/50 meth injection....
ALSO were going to run at 12 psi intercooled thats a good safe point..
We just want to run mid 12's with the car and we will be happy. car ran high 12's last year but had torque converter problems. So we took care of that and also changed some things around and waiting to get her tunned up now... Just takes time and money....... but it will be a fun car to drive.. IM SURE.....

well I am not sure what issue it was in but I know there was a 3rd gen in car craft that ran into the 9s with a TT setup.
I am not 100% sure but if I remember it was a truck junkyard motor.. I will look into it and find out what month and the specifics..
I have never played with a turbo, supercharger or Nitrous but would like to do that next in my 3rd gen.99 Buick Regal GS- New DD

I can answer that! It all depends on how much you want to spend. The best option would either be one big turbo or 2 smaller turbos but any time you add another turbo the whole mix gets more complex and expensive. I was looking at turbos for a long time. I was considering garrett turbos mainly, but I could have gone with (2) TO4E turbos or one lager T3/T4 T70 or the like turbo. If you go low boost you won't need an intercooled setup. If you go over a certain amount of boost you do.
Oh and I have that Car Craft Article here in front of me. It was an '88 GTA with a swapped '76 2 bolt main from a work truck .40 over pistons, a sleeve and a cast crank. He is running Dart aluminum heads, 2 buick TBO-348 GN turbos, Aeromotive A1000 fuel system, Holley Commander 950, TPI intake, BBK Throttle body, MSD ignition, 91 octane, and a Holley plate style nitrous setup (90 shot), a Ford 9" and a built TH-400 trans.
for Turbos!

Oh and Justin,
did you mention what heads you were running on that L36? Did you do a L67 top end swap or did you go about lowering the compression on the stock heads and how?
