Hey guys,
I'm posting this thread because I've received a few PM's from people about the matter and I feel this needs to be discussed openly.
The owner of LEDVault.com, Brian, has lost his sponsorship status on LS1Tech.com and LTxTech.com for receiving orders via LEDVault.com's website and not shipping any goods to the people who paid.
I've known Derek since 2003 and he's a stand up guy, so please don't confuse the two. Derek said that the HIDs from the group purchase were shipped Friday from the manufacturer straight to Derek. Once Derek receives the HIDs, Brian has given him the go ahead to promptly turn around and - regardless of the fact that the group purchase has not been fulfilled to the 10 orders - to ship the HIDs to the respective parties as a gesture of trying to fix their reputation of not shipping out the items.
Derek has told me and has stated in other threads here and on other sites that Brian was going through some personal issues and got behind with orders. While I'm not excusing him for negligence for not sending products out or not showing good customer service to notify customers about delays, etc., I can also give benefit of the doubt that he's a good guy (as many have said on LS1Tech that have known him over the years...) and is just overwhelmed with the popularity of LEDVault.com and trying to juggle some deep personal issues and handling the business by himself - until Derek recently came on to help with sales.
I find it equally important to state that most of the items that are sold on LEDVault.com - the license plate boards for example - are custom made items. They're made once and order is placed, so there is definitely some turn around time between them receiving the order and getting it out to the customer.
So why am I writing all of this? Right now, we have had no complaints with LEDVault.com directly on our site and thus far Derek has been very good about keeping me updated on the status of the HIDs. As long as everyone on MiFbody.com who ordered through LEDVault.com gets their products, I do not feel it's justified to revoke LEDVault.com's sponsorship status.
I am being honest with everyone on this and will even link below to the recent threads on LS1Tech.com. Everyone who purchases from them should be making an informed decision and I definitely do not want to mislead anyone in our community. For what it's worth, I did put a purchase in for the HIDs myself and I am confident that everyone who purchased their kits will be receiving them.
