  • What did I win?!

Hey EVI, I just had a quick question. . . Remember the thread and contest you started to come up with names for the Vigilante Silverado you started last April?

I won the contest, and was just wondering if I actually 'won' anything or not. I waited for contact from you guys via email, but didn't hear anything, so I emailed and PM'ed you guys asking about it, and never heard anything back.

Just thought I'd post up to see if I could get a hat or t-shirt or something, I want to rep the AWESOME projects you guys have been putting out. Keep up the good work!

If anyone doubts it, here's my post from before the contest was even started. . .

Maybe "Vigilante" or something along those lines. . .

I also wanted to check in and see what the status of any future projects is, I haven't seen any updates to your website, nor any posts around here lately. . .

Hey Nick, send me your address and Ill send you a T-shirt. I never saw your post or message about the contest but Id like to make it right with you since Im just now getting back to you. In short, we had 4 people come up with that name so I just took the one with the earliest time and date and made them the winner. Were about to update the website with some winter projects, but ill also post them here so keep posted!

Here's the post I made in the thread where you guys asked for suggestions as to names. Post was made April 3rd, 2010 at around 3:05pm

Here's the email I sent Gary, copied and pasted from my email outbox.

I would like to submit my choice for the name of the Project Silverado. "Vigilante" was the name I came up with, and some of the others on MIFBody.com agreed, thought it was a cool name.

I didn't mean to "call you out", just wanted to clear it up, since I hadn't heard anything about it from anyone. Don't worry about sending me anything, if someone else came up with the idea before I did, I have no reason to get a prize for it! lol Keep up the good work, I'll keep checking your site for updates!

No T-Shirt. Apparently someone else came up with the exact same name as I did before I did, but didn't post it in the thread here, they just emailed it to them. I dropped the issue. No reason to push it, if someone else won, fine by me. I just hope they'll post up some pics of what they won!
