What type of batteries? Batteries mounted in the same car?

I just use a tender Jr on my SS (using the clips) without any problem. I figure I can get a Jr for each of my car cheaper then the 4-bank system.

But, if your using a Optima battery, Deltran suggest using the Battery Tender Plus.

                Hey Creight,
I have 2 Odessey batteries in my Chevelle.
Would the Tender plus be the best choice for me?
Can I use one for both batteries? They are wired in series.
                Thanks,
                Brian

The Tender Jr's would be fine for both of them. The only draw back I see with the Jr with our cars is that you need to use the clips. The pigtail is to smalll to mount on the car battery. But I like the Jr small size. Just plug into the wall on connect to the battery.

Hey Brian, yes the Tender Plus would be recommended for your application.

Deltran (manufacture of the tenders) recommends a tender plus for use on Optima batteries.

It was about a year ago when I was talking to a factory tech about using a Jr with the Optima. My memory isnt that good to remember what the reason was behind it.
