  • Welcome Cold Air Inductions, Inc. to MiFbody's Sponsors!

Please join me in thanking Cold Air Inductions, Inc. for coming on as a sponsor on Michigan FBody. Cold Air Inductions was the first company to provide cold air intakes for the 2012 Camaro after a new MAF caused incompatibility with manufacturer's previous CAI designs. Their CAI for the 2010+ Camaro has been proven through dyno-testing to add 16rwhp and 15tq as well as improving overall MPGs.

While Bill isn't a member here on our site, he will be present at the 2012 Meet & Greet with a display.

Thanks Bill and Cold Air Inductions, Inc!

Yessir. They changed the MAF on the 2012 LFX engine. Totally different housing. Thought a couple people on C5 used a dremel and were able to open up the MAF opening in a 2010/11 cold air intake and silicone their 2012 MAF into it but I can't expect that to be a good method.

They do - but unfortunately not for other FBodies. Most of their products are for 2005+ vehicles:

Anything planned for Cobalts, there is a pretty big aftermarket for them.

For the GM truck line does this include Duramax'?

I'd be interested to see what you have to offer if so.

I'll try to answer your question as directly as possible in an indirect way LOL. Basically we want to come out with CAI's for every vehicle that has a demand for them, including the cobalt. We just moved into a new manufacturing facility in November which is going to allow us to greatly expand our product line. Right now we already have about a year of development planned between the 07-08 GM gasser trucks, the ZL1, 09-11 GM Gasser Trucks, then both truck lines in Diesel, then the Mustang (I know, probably a bad word here) Ford Truck line, 2011+ Hemi base for Challenger and Charger (I know, more bad words) as well as 2 different possible contracts with GM Performance Parts Division. So the answer is yes, but as to when it will be completed I really can't say. Fill out the submit your vehicle from on our website, the more demand we see for a vehicle the quicker it gets developed! Thanks!

The gasser line will be released by April 1st, the diesel line should come in the next 2 months after that, in theory. Make sure to fill out the "submit your vehicle" form on our website, the more demand we see the quicker it gets developed! Thanks!
