Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Im knew to this and dont realy know much about stereo systems and about watts and rms and things can someone explain what this means 160 Watts RMS 4x400 Watts Peak is that good heres a link of what I am thinking of getting will it sound good and is it a good deal.
RMS stands for "root mean squared" pretty much its how much power you can get from an amp... or for a speaker how much power it can take and keep a clean sound... thats why if you put say 800 watt to a 200rms speaker most likely after a while you will blow the speaker it wont handle the power same with an amp if your try to push out its max power say it can do 600 watt but has 400 rms you push 600 watt all the time it will eventually kill it in most cases... thats a good deal but a kinda weak system it will be a nice added sound to your stock system but dont expect to get any kinda rattle or ungodly bump outta that.. its gonna be just enough to hear the difference... its not a bad price though with the amp tweeters subs and wire kit you would spend more for name brand... the question is if you trust that brand... id do some searching see what other people say about that company if it last a while... you can get some killer deals on name brand stuff once in a while, you just have to wait for it.. a box just to put thouse in your car will probably cost more.. but that atleast could get you started... have the wires all ran and ready to go and if you decide to upgrade it will all be there and ready... and its still gonna sound better than nothing, just dont crank it up hopping to get more...

what kind of watts on an amp and subs would give a nice sound and bump mostly thats what I want to see is a I want to fell it not like to much but when you are like outside the cAR i WOULD LIKE TO HEAR IT.
Hey, i don't know how much money your looking to spend on a system but Mark (SouLTeRRoR) from here is selling his system for a really good deal!
Check it out.. http://mifbody.com/vbulletin/showthr...4406#post74406
those speakers are garbage (they are flea market stuff) get a set of 6x9's and they will sound better, same with the amp, save your money for something decent
Its that bad I thought it would sound ok and get a good bump but most times you get what you pay for. How many watts does that amp realy have I still cant figure it out.
its a 400watt RMS amp 4 channel.. and 600 max... even still you hook that full power up to the speakers "they are cheep paper ones from what i read" your gonna blow them and not get that great of sound.. there are alot of "generic" brands on the market that are just as cheep but way better than that... i say keep looking around a bit

try looking up any of these brands
legacy, pyle, pyramid, lightning, boss "not bose",Dual or any of there family...they all range from fairly cheep to high end systems but even there cheep stuff is atleast half way decent... they are all pretty much made by one big company and for what they are acctually can handle quite a bit of power and dont sound half bad...
talk to archemedes too he sells car audio and im sure he can get you something halfway decent to get you started...
if that doesnt help just hold out i guess ABC/Mickey Shore, and Best buy usually have atleast one complete system on sale ... just dont be shocked if they arnt in stock when you get there..
I use to drop the bucks on it but not really my deal anymore.. i got my setup for about 250 bucks thats the speakers box amp and wires... i just found them onsale at meijer or wallmart... then made Best Buy price match so i could get the warranty with them... remeber all these bigger retailers have to price match any real store so dont feel bad to screw them.. in my case i saved like 300 bucks ont he whole setup and its plenty loud enough for me.. might not be the best but it works everytime without a hitch...
if you want you can borrow mine for now as i work on my car..lol its sitting in my bedroom
