  • WTB: 87+ 5.7 Running

    Hey all,

Im looking to buy a 350 that is in running condition, im looking for the newer style with the one piece rear main seal. all im looking for is a block with the internals(cranks, pistons, camshaft, etc.) all intact, with heads. for an auto transmission.

I was doing an engine swap, and i paid for a 350 that i thought was a running 350, but after doing some cylinder leakage tests and compression tests and so forth, come to find out that this engine needs a lot more work than i want to do at this time, it was a tbi motor that i had everything that i need to swap it over to being carb'd, but now i dont have a motor, if anyone can help me, thatd be awesome, im kinda lookin for something outta a camaro or firebird.

    thanks,
    Jeremy

Sounds like you want something that is more than running condition.
Sounds like you want to find one that is in almost perfect condition, like something with low mileage. Would you also accept something that is rebuilt?

how does it sound like i want something thats more than running condition? im looking for something that runs, and i dont wanna ton of parts on it, cuz I already have those parts, just wanna find a 87 or newer engine that runs good, i dont need any of the accesories, or intake stuff, just a stock engine that runs good.. thats all. i got a 700r4 wanna make sure that it will bolt up fine, and for the milage,, i would like to stay around 100k or less, as long as it runs good, im good with that.. im only looking to spend maybe 200 - 250 tops on an engine, so a rebuilt one isnt gonna do it for me. if im gonna spend more than that, id just rebuild the one i have.

      thanks.

Oh come on, all he has to do is reverse the 0 and the 5 on that 305 and he will be all set.
