Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I think last time we had Matt Z try some C5 stuff in a GTA rim and it was a no go.
yeah i was gonna say that, no go on the crosslaces and C5 brakes, but i don't think regular LS1 brakes will be any different?.....Tomarrow when i'm up at CARS, i'll take a crosslace wheel off of this one custo's car that's up there and see if it fits on the front of my car, then i'll let ya know

If it does you should roll around on gold crosslaces, that'd be tight yo
Cross laces won't fit on ls1 or c5 front brakes. If you want brakes those wheels have gotta go. Bear makes a kit I could change the bracket around for a 12in instead of a 12.8 and it might fit with either a c5 or LS1 caliper.I don;t think outside of a 11.8 rotor your not going to get much. I think the ls1 rotors are 12.5 up front and the rears are the same as the vet but those should clear a 16inch wheel ok.

From the reading that I've done it looks like it'd be LS1 brakes with wheel spacers or C4 12" non HD brakes.
Yeah those would be the 12.0 or 11.8 depending on how you measure it. My advice would be to get some different wheels if you want more brakes and step upto some really good brakes.

I dont want really awesome brakes, I just want brakes.
I would sitck with the crosslaces. They are awesome and look very good. Why not look into some cross-drilled / slotted rotors and some decent pads. That'll help.
