I need to see some pics! Let me do some research, I might be able to get you a deal on a rear axle. The guy I bought mine from parts out fbodies. He gave me the rear axle, posi, 3.42's, rear brakes, panhard bar, shocks and a bunch of other stuff for like $350. I heard he had just gotten a Z28 in to part out.

Yours would definatly be the closest to where i live so far. What is the rear end specs? (Gearing, # of channels, posi or open diff...)

So far the specs that Ben posted sound like what i would like.

Unfortunatly, even if it is rebuild able, I don't know the first thing about rebuilding a rear end.

My mechanical knowledge is limited to what i can unbolt and bolt-on. Hopefully I can change that soon.

he is looking for a 3.42/posi rear end so yours would be of no use unless the car had a y87 package and no tcs.

I've got a 4th Gen rear with 4.11 GM Performance parts gears, and Auburn Posi. It's a Disc Brake rearend, but the brakes don't come with it. I could let it go for $300. tbrobotics@hotmail.com
