Considering it was posted in the "Wanted" forum, I'm guessing he's looking for them.

There'e a place called Cleveland Pick a Part that has these for sale complete at not too bad a price. It just depends on miles as to what they are going for.

Schram's on Dixie Highway (just a bit north of Telegraph) in Waterford usually has a decent selection and are always getting new motors in.

I know 2 different people who have purchased complete drivetrains off them and have been happy.

            Here's their eBay store:

You will generally find that any yard who sells their stuff on ebay will be higher priced than a yard that doesn't. However, then you run the risk of buying your stuff from a guy named Bubba who has 4 teeth in his head. That is why I just decided to buy all new stuff.

My next door neighbor picked up a '06 Chevy 3.5L V6, 4 spd overdrive tranny, complete wiring harness and computer, to put in his Willy's Jeepster for $1600.

Considering the entire drivetrain had 2 miles on it (vehicle fell off the truck), it seemed like a good deal to me for what he got.

But then again...how many people go asking for a 3.5L V6...

Good point Jeff.....I think supply and demand is what drives the price on these. People wonder why LS1/A4's go for cheaper prices vs. LS1/M6's. Techincally speaking the auto should be more because it costs more to manufacture, but auto's are a dime a dozen and the more sought after combos are the M6's.

works for me.. the last two completes i bought cost me 2.5k for the complete 40k mileage engine, harness, ecm and trans combos i bought. after a $700 harness from howell and a additional $900 in necessary conversion parts both cars and one weekends work it's well worth it versus rebuilding a standard gen I sbc.

                          a 100k ls1 i'm sure is still much nicer then a tired 305 gen I sbc.

so no one here has anything for sale? i checked the local yards but 3.5-4k is too much for them. i love to have new things like the next person but you loose so much in this hobby when the word "new" is in place that i avoid it at all costs now on anything i'm going to drive regularly.

Thinking you got a good deal on a used powertrain at some yard......$3-4K

Knowing you have a brand new motor/trans that some boy racer punk hasn't beat it to within a inch of it's life.....Priceless!

It was worth it to me.
