  • 3rd gen tail light center peice

I need a section for at 1985 T/A (probably any 3rd gen) that goes inbetween the tail lights. The part that has the key hole in it. I bought one but cracked in shipping and the one I took off my car after 2 years is all scratched up from floating around the garage. Who has one? I'd rather have the bird in it so I can scrape off the paint so I can mount a red light behind it and when I hit my brakes its like a 3rd brake light. Lemme know! PM ME!!!

    Thanks
    Tom

depending on how scratched up the old piece is, i could probably hit it with some compound and a pad and clean it up....i've wetsanded and wheeled out headlights/taillights before and made them look brand new again

Have an idea of what you'd charge me or give me some instructions of how? I've got a DA, mothers power ball, and tons of wet sandpaper.

haha i wouldn't charge ya anything, it would only take me like 20 minutes to do a small piece like that, but how to do it... basically take some really fine wetsand paper, like 1500, wet sand it so it's nice and smooth and all the scratches are out of it, then take some medium grit compound (Wizards brand turbo cut or finish cut would be great) and probably use a white waffle pad and wheel it out until there is no more haze from the wet sand, and it'll be bling'n!

i'm assuming it's just a lot of surface scratches, not like gauges or anything...

i'm not sure how those power balls work, but you could possibly get away with using that and some compound since it's such a small piece...

The grid if possible. That's what my lights are not but I have a set of formula tails I might run because with the new charcoal paint and tint I think the black tails (grid style) might be to much.
