3rd gen rear axle

hey guys trying to find a rear disk setup on a 3rd gen rear axle i want the whole axle and breaks if you got it.. wanna drop down to 3.90 gears .... a 10 bolt is fine i can build it up decent enough to get me by for now but hell if you got a nice extra 9 inch or a 12 bolt your willing to part with ill take it. let me know.

so you don't want a stock one right. Check currie and strange they aren't that expensive for a new one

well a stock 10 bolt would be fine i just want the disk breaks on it. i have an extra build up kit for the 10 bolt will normally handel around 400hp little more with the kit. but i wouldnt mind going down to 3.90 gears instead of my 4.10 that i have now and if i do it i want disk breaks.. sence i have the extra build up kit just a 10 bolt rear disk is good

a third gen didn't have a 10 bolt (a true 10 bolt ended on the second gen) with third gen it went to the inch designation, and people call it a 10 bolt, it's the same rear as an s10 just with the torque arm I think it's 7.5" one of the worst rears ever put under a car

yup, 7.5" is the standard 10 bolt on the 3rd and 4th gens

3rd gens also came with the borg warner 9 bolt. I believe it was under the GTAs....

nope this is the crappy 7.5 10 bolt with 4.10 gears in it... if anyone had a 2nd gen 10 bolt that might work too how hard would it be to swap them i can weld up mounting brakets for it but are they close to the same length?

don't bother with a factory rear end unless you like fixing broken garbage, gm rears are a joke (that's why you don't find too many under real powerful cars) a currie housing is only a couple hundred bucks, and has no c clips

well a currie 9 inch with 4.11 gears is over a grand though jegs for the 3rd gen thats complete without breaks... so im trying to get something cheeper than that thus posting it on the want page in here....
