  • 1-3/4" Slp shorty headers,

    any one have a set of 1-3/4" Slp shorty headers, ceramic coated or stainless steal, i am looking for a set! & possibly a y pipe to go w/ it!
    if any one can help please let me know!

        if james is right, and it's for a 3rd gen, considering it says '92 for vehicle...long tubes are not so easy for the 3rd gens i hear....

            I'm not a 3rd gen expert, nor will i ever be but i think for long tubes to fit in a 3rd gen some grinding of the K-frame needs to be done...

              Then start grinding on the K-member I say. Longtubes or nothin'! Shorty headers are just a complete waste of money. They don't provide any gains whatsoever.

                You are crazy!!! Longtubes are nice yes BUT shortys do just fine much better than stock.

                1995 TA Sold. i sure do miss it though.

                  well, maybe that's the case on an LT1, but I know they don't do jack for an LS1 or LS2.

                    It's not as bad as everyone thinks...true you have to clearance a few areas but nothing major. Anybody with decent mechanical skills can accomplish this in their own garage.

                    Gib...btw, we were talking 3rd gen applications......even a shorty header helps these cars.....ever take a look at the factory manifolds? OMG...they are hideous!!!

                      thanks guys,

                      yeah they are for a 3rd gen i have a 92 firehawk clone, runs real well, already have headman 1-5/8" headers & y pipe just want to upgade to a ceramic coated or stainless set! & a little bigger, i heard that long tubes were a ***** & i have lowered my car w/ Eibach springs so i dont want clearance probems! but iof long tubes will work w/ out to much hassle i would be willing to go that route!
                      any one have any 1-3/4" ceramic coated long tube headers, for sale?
