  • 4th Gen Camaro Front Seat Foam

The Camaro seats in the Cav could use some better seat foam - new stuff looks to be pretty expensive. Was just curious if someone had seat foam laying around for 4th gen Camaro seats that they didn't need anymore.

The covers on my seats are still in good shape (no tears), but you can feel the frame through the right bolster on the driver seat pretty easily.

    Thanks!

You could probably find it from ricks camaro. With the amount of 4th gens in the junk yard these days you may be able to still find a good set. Guess it depends on how long you want to look.

Considering they are attached to the car...haha, can't do that - plus, those are the Cavalier's seat frames (the Camaro seats didn't come with frames, but the Cavalier seat frames bolt directly to them, hence me buying them).

In case you didn't know. The drivers and passenger seat foam are interchangable. Actually the entire seat bottoms are interchangable. When I rebuild a seat I normally find a good passenger side seat to rob the foam from and I add a spring to the center of the bottom. I also cover the foam on the bottom with denim/ canvas and the bolster pockets . It keeps the wires from cutting into the foam.

You can also try steaming the foam pads you have.

Nah, steaming them just makes them chewy....
