If you go with forged internals now then you should be pretty set for the FI down the road. Just have to do a cam swap, and maybe something with the heads.

it would probably be easier than building a six. v8s are much more supported. I respect the sixers though. frank on this site (NOS2006 - only comes around once in a while) has a 98 3.8 A4 camaro that he cammed and put headers on. I raced him this past summer with that setup. 2 out of 2 runs he walked me off the line and i didnt reel him back until 60mph or so. My launches sucked, I either bogged or melted the tires. I think I would have struggled to pull him back without my LTs, and my car is a pretty strong LT1. If i had stock manifolds it wouldve been pretty close from a roll.Originally posted by gtpson99I know
allow of people say that, but the car means alot to me so i am not going to sell it and buy another car. I was thinking of doing a conversion but i was told that is is a real pain in the butt and hardly ever goes right.-Joel

Frank is selling that camaro or he did sell it. It was up for sale on camarov6.com awhile back. Building a v6 is getting cheaper and cheaper as more companies are getting involved finally. Just started out slow. You can have a built v6 for around 5k-6k (if you pay to have all work done instead of yourself doing it) now with forged internals and fully stage 3 ported and worked top end and nice cam and possibly cheaper if you have connections at machine shops. Slap on some nitrous and bye bye ls1'sOriginally posted by JoeliusZ28it would probably be easier than building a six. v8s are much more supported.
