Joel, what differences have you noticed? How do I tell an OEM from an aftermarket? I mainly want OEM because I want it to fit well and not shrink and get wavy after a few months in the sun.
Here are some pics of the Ultra Z that I am looking to trade/sell:

Fwiw. After my aftermarket one got all wavy I primed it a few times blocked it out nice and flat I never had an issue and it stayed really flat. I was also very happy with the fitment.
From what I have gathered the rear oem spoilers are almost a "2 piece". Mine says "made in Canada" as well.
Aftermarket ones are completely smooth on the backside. Aftermarket are typically fiberglass vs oem is smc.
Edit:
Rear of an aftermarket

What does an OEM have that's not smooth?
(edit: nevermind, found pics of both and see what you mean)
Also, what brand of aftermarket did you use? I'm not opposed to aftermarket if it's decent, only thing is I don't have the luxury of free body/paint work
I still might go that way if I can't find OEM after a while.

There are two versions of the OEM spoiler that look the same externally, but the sides where the trunk closes are different. One has a "panel" that sits flush with the body, the other just has an edge. At one point i called someone out for selling me an aftermarket spoiler over it (it also had a botch paint job), but later found there just seem to be two versions.
Edit: also just realized there was an external difference too. That lip Mike is referencing was an actual seam on one version of the spoiler and just a molded line on the other. But you have to be looking for it. The one with the flush panel has the seam. Ive paid attention and seen both on factory SS cars, im sure theres a pattern/production change but i havent determined what it was yet.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; June 23rd, 2015, 08:05 AM.-Joel

I found these online at LS1tech. Comparison between aftermarket and OEM. Do all aftermarket spoilers fit like this here? This would drive me nuts.
