  • WTB: 215/60/16 Tires

Looking for a good set of tires for a cruze. The factory set has lasted us 60k but they are GONE now. So with the light dustings we keep getting its starting to make me nervous.

If anyone has a set of takes off's or knows anyone who does please let me know!

HM, we were torn as to weather or not to go the winter tire route on her car. But at that price I think we need to reconsider that.

            Yes.

We're going to be buying some winter tires (Probably going with Michelin Xi3's) for the diesel hopefully this week.

I just bought General Altimax Arctic's for my daily. After the reviews I read on the x-ice 3, altimax arctic, and blizzaks they are all rated about the same by users, with the most favorible reviews pointing twards the general tires, as they are a SIGNIFICANT cost savings.

If you are considering the x-ice or blizzaks check out what general offers. From what ive read you cant go wrong with any of them, its just cost.

That's why I went Blizzaks, got them installed for less than it equal to what I could have gotten Generals for

For sure a good deal then.

I just hate it because we don't have another set of wheels for the cruze. I had a set of steelies and hub caps for my dodge.

That would be what, a slightly wider tire? If that's ok to run on a cruze wheel consider them sold!

Should be right around 0.4" wider (at the section) and 0.47" larger in diameter. 1.8% difference in the speedo (it will read slow - 100mph on the speedo = 101.8 mph real speed)

Still safe to mount on a 16x6.5 right? If I understood the article I read a 225/60/16 can be mounted on anything from a 6 to an 8 in wide wheel?
