  • WTB: SBC gen I long block

    Hey All,

I'm looking for a cheap gen 1 SBC 350/305 that runs (and that I can just drop into a project right away with minimal work). would like to get a long block. don't NEED an intake, but if it comes with a cheapo carb'd intake I would probably pick that up to. I would go craigslist.. but I figured I would come here first with people I trust.. VS going to craigslist and it be up in the air what I might get haha!

    thanks!

    -Jeremy

I got a 305 shortblock. Just needs heads. I have a pair that for the right price I'll let go, but I was planning on using them. I've never run it, but from what I understand from the po its a good engine.

What were you looking to get for the shortblock? and then for the whole setup?

I'll take $350 for it. Just realized that I don't have gaskets, head bolts, lifters, rods or rockers either. So .. Kinda up to you. Not exactly a drop in engine like you wanted lol.

Actually that's the same set of heads I have. I just have too much into the purchase of them to let the block and heads go for too much less. I'll work out a delivery plan with you though, cause I have a truck. So I have the block, oil pan, crank, pistons, rods, rings, flywheel, cam, 416 heads. What the engine needs is gaskets, lifters, push rods, rockers, possibly timing cover (I think I have a new timing chain set I can put on it) and you'll be all set for this engine. Heck, I'll build it for ya if you want to work out gasket/valvetrain stuff.
