  • Quick Tuning Changes

    Hello,

I am looking for someone local (detroit metro area) with tuning software for a 1997 LT1 OBDII. I am just looking for two quick changes. My tuner is now far away and doesn't have a mail in set up. All the local guys here are looking to charge too much, IMO. PM me or reply here if you can do this and how much. Here are the changes I'm looking for, nothing difficult:

    3.90 final drive
    160* stat

    Thanks

That would be cool. I know someone here can!

Someday I'll have my own tuning software

96-97 LT1s are lame. They have to use Jet if I am not mistaken. 93-95 uses TunerCat.
Just ditch the OBD2 pcm and swap in an OBD1, change the knock sensor to a OBD1 and you're good to go to use TunerCats. I did it for a guy on here.

Yes, have to use Jet or Tunercats OBDII before they sold out to Jet. I've found the Jet kit for $325 on a couple of sites so it isn't horrible and the same program layout as Tunercats for the most part. This is why it's hard to find a good tuner for the 96-97 cars without swapping to OBD1. Only place I know of is Baker, which is my tuner, and it's too far to drive for me... But I might do it at this point. That being said, my tune is fine as is with the OBDII thanks to TJ. All I need are these changes.

          Thank you though.

            Bump!

Even if it's a hypertech tuner you have, that will work!

Looks like I may be taking a cruise to Baker, lol.
