  • WTB: LS1 parts, 4L60E core

I need to get going on this 5.3 build for my uncle's 55 Nomad.

    Needed:
Complete LS1 intake setup - Manifold, throttle body, fuel rails, injectors.

Cam - nothing too aggressive, but he wants the lope. 111 or 112 LSA, around 220 duration, .575 lift or less

Valve springs - need to work with OEM retainers/keepers but handle the lift of the cam.

    Hardened push rods - 7.400"

Need a 99+ LS style 4L60E trans. Can be 4x4 and even behind an inline 6 (Trailblazer), I can switch it over.

Let me know if you have something sitting on the shelf and a price you'd like for it!

    Thanks

2wd? Any problems? I will be rebuilding but want to avoid blown up internals.

I'll keep it in mind. It will cost me around $150 to convert it. I have a line on a GM rebuilt 2wd trans for $300, will be calling the guy in the morning.

I have a 4L60 from an f-body. It was from a low mile totaled car. If you want some history, I got it from Andy who works sales at Livernois Motorsports as part of a trade a few years ago. I lost the dipstick when I moved, but complete other than that. $300.

How many miles, Geoff? Haven't heard back on that 2wd trans yet.

I don't know the exact mielage but the car was pretty young when Andy got the entire powertrain from a yard. I will see if he knows. The thing has been sitting for about ten years.

According to Andy it is from a 2000 SS with 28,000 miles. It doesn't need a rebuild, but I would get it disassembled and cleaned because it has been sitting a while.
