  • Anybody have a used alternator for sale?

Hello all, I'm looking for an affordable used alternator for my 95 lt1 Camaro. If you have one let me know. Needing one ASAP. Thanks!
    Thanks,
    Stephen

FWIW, you can buy an alternator rebuild kit for cheap and do it yourself in a few hours...

Last time I checked they stopped selling those? At least the autoparts stores?

I have one off of a third gen but I believe they are totally different beasts.

Pathetic...looks like they'll sell you all the individual components, but not a full kit.

        Unless you go online...

Thanks everyone for your input. Mine still charges fine but the bearing is squeaking and chirping....could i just change the bearing or is there any way to lube it?
          Thanks,
          Stephen

Highway auto parts in Roseville on Groesbeck sells them for $35 if I recall with a warranty if it doesn't work.

Yes, you can buy it individually...but frankly, I'd get a whole kit and do it right...kinda like changing just one brake pad IMO...but it can be done...
