  • WTB: Working factory CD player for 98-02 Camaro and T-top holders for trunk

I picked up a 98 z28 about a month ago and the cd player doesnt work and it kinda drives me nuts on long drives! Not lookin to go crazy with the audio system so a stock cd player to replace it would be great or maybe a cheap aftermarket one if someone has one laying around as well as a mounting kit for it and harness etc.

Also my buddy just picked up a 94 z28 and desperately needs t-top holders for his trunk if anyone might have some layin around!

please call or text me if u have either of these my cell is 248-918-1435 thanks!

Wouldn't the car need to be equipped with Monsoon for a Monsoon HU to work? IIRC, the Monsoon system had an external amp, therefore, if his car wasn't originally equipped with it, it wouldn't function properly.

Hey let me know about that cd player... if the cd is really jammed in there I'll swap ya with another stock radio I have.
Sorry for any inconvenience, I swear the CD player in that radio worked perfect before I pulled it out, but that was a few years ago. Its been sitting in the garage for a while... the other Cd player I have I just took out of my 00 SS not even a month ago, and this one worked fine as well before removing it.

Somewhat False. Without the UZ7 option, It would function as a standard radio.
If he did have the UZ7 it would work as well.

The "Monsoon" option is a sticker on a standard Delco Radio with an amplifier hidden in the spare tire well.
It's simply High Level outputs into the amp which converts it, amplifies it, then spits it back out.
That's why aftermarket radios also work with the amp, but tend to toast the delco amp due to higher wattage outputs going into the high level inputs.

The only issue he needs to look at is the radio style for a Chevy to make it look stock or an aftermarket radio with a nice fitting Kit so it's unobtrusive.
I'll have to remember what I used on my pontiac, but it sits near flush like the stock radio so it doesn't look all ghetto. If I can find the kit number, I'll upload it here.
It took me a while to find the right one that looked correct.

Sorry guys havent been on lately... my buddy was able to find some t top holders and I did get the CD player working in my car! My buddy is now looking for the thin carpeted piece that goes in the rear dividing the trunk and the back seat area right under the hatch if anyone has one laying around.
