Performance tires, springs, shocks and swaybars. What specific ones of those you'll need I don't know. I'm not a suspension guru to know what works best with what. Try stranoparts.com I believe is the address. The guy that owns it is a well known road racer and can tell you everything you'd ever want to know and more about how to set your car up. You can look for his threads on LS1tech under the suspension/chassis section as he posts a lot there.

go to thirdgen.org and post this up there. I know there are quite a few successful road racers on there that know their shit.

You have lots of options when it comes to enhancing a 3rd gen suspension. However, don't expect to make something that handles like a Mini and still be a "somewhat" comfortable ride on the street. Not gonna happen, these cars are pigs compared to a mini. Sure you can make them handle like a race car, but it's not going to be fun to drive on a day to day basis.

As all the previous posters have said, for Camaros there are numerous options for you to go with. If you are a bit more adventurous, here's an idea for you. I remember watch Horsepower on Powerblock from Spike and they did a Camaro with air suspension from Air Ride Technologies. Which can give you a more supple ride when you need and and agressive performance also by adjusting air pressure in the air spring/strut unit. It's worth taking a look at, I believe Chevy High Performance had done a first gen with it also with decent result. Here's their link:

And no, I don't work for them or advertise for them, just something I saw

WMCC Gary has air ride on his 3rd gen IROC. You can check with him for specifics.

3rd gens have been always more desired for handling over 4th gens
Strano would be a good place to start. He suggested some valving stuff for me when I was retuning my shocks.
I don't think he would recommend air ride though

I always hear this: Shocks are most important. Then springs that match the shcoks and swaybars that match the rest of the components. Next thing would be brakes. Among other things, tires are very important. Idk i think air ride is more for show than performance. I have heard of a computerized air ride suspension that automatically switches between 4 settings or something. Maybe check into that.

again guys thanx for all the help you guys rock as for a daily driver, once i get her finished she's gonna be a show car.... so im not too worried about the smoothest ride... im checking with air ride tech about their stuff to see if it can handle the forces exerted by an 800 horse 383 stroker and 6spd man trans. lol
