  • Got stock decarbon shocks laying around?

As some of you may already know, I'm selling my car and taking off all the aftermarket stuff. When I was taking apart the front stock struts, I had to cut one of the shocks' top nut off. So I'm in need of another front shock.

Also, one of my rear bilstein shocks had to be cut off, the bottom bolt kept spinning in place. I'm going to try to replace that stud, so I could also use a rear shock.

Really not looking to pay much, free is even better

    Thanks for any help.
    -Conrad

Check with "the other" Kevin -- he was thinking about an upgrade, and his car is in cherry shape, so there's a good chance that he still has deCarbons and that they would still be reusable.

I am planning on a shock refresh in the near future, so I will have something available at some time. Haven't even placed an order yet though, so I don't know what your timing is. I'd gladly help you out if I can

Eh, who needs a lid? Just putting a K&N sticker on it alone is worth 5 to 10 horsepower!

Conrad made me a deal I couldn't refuse on it. 10hp is 10hp

I have a couple sets of struts and a pair of rear shocks laying around. They are ready to go to scrap so they are not worth much to me. A pair of the struts really are not that bad.

I have rear replacement shocks that are in good shape $10 for both. They were removed from a third gen.

It'd be great if I could pick up everything I need at once, so I'll probably make a trip out to you. Unless you want to meet at woodward friday night? I know it's kinda a hike for you, but I'll be down there.

I really only need 1 front shock and 1 rear shock, but if you need to sell/give them in pairs, I can understand. I have some stuff that needs to go to scrap also.

I would like to go to woodward sometime, but it looks like its going to not be that great out tomorrow and my hood is still of the car. I dont know if you want to trade? buy them, but i am not too worried about making money off of them.

Depending on what Bre and Ben decide about the headlights, I'm going to be carting some parts between Southfield and Mason. If Patrick can give the shocks to Ben, I can get them from him, then when I get back to Detroit I can meet up with Conrad somewhere.

Thank you for the offer Kevin, I appreciate it, but I don't mind a little drive out to him.

I saw in another thread you had a set of lowering front springs... I have the heater hose mod in the rear, but have sort of been looking for a set of lowering springs. If you are driving out, i would be very interested in a trade.
