  • Wanted - 4th Generation Firebird

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a 4th gen. Firebird or Trans Am with a manual transmission to drive in the spring/summer. I prefer an LT1, but a 3.8L is okay too.

    Thanks!

Based on condition (mileage, paint condition, defects, etc.):

      Hardtop/T-Top:
      • $2000-$3500 for a 3.8L
      • $3000-$5000 for a 5.7L
      Convertible:
      • $4500 max for a 3.8L
      • $6000 max for a 5.7L

Interesting. I just called a guy parting out six 98-2002 Trans Ams and firebirds. He just happens to have two manual cars up for sale!

First one is a 2000 NBM T-topped car, 92,000 miles, asking $5k obo.
Second car is a 2001 Pewter Convertible, 87000 miles, asking $5500 obo.

He is looking to move out to Colorado on the 9th for a new job, so is looking to move them quick. Cars are located down by Indianapolis.

        Here is the post:

If you have a budget of ~5k and are looking specifically for a LT1 car, don't even consider a V6. You'll kick yourself. You should be able to find a good LT1 TA for $5k

My dad is putting his 2001 SOM Formula Firebird up for sale. He's looking for 7500 so it's a little higher than you looking for. I can say that the car is worth it. It's been well-maintained and he documents everything done to it. It is an automatic also... If you're still looking, i figured you might make some exceptions... Here's a link to his post he put up when he got it:

It's got around 96,000 on it but looks and drives like new. Any questions, just pm me.
