I already looked into this for my trans am and I just ended up buying new because used is only like 10-30 bucks cheaper after install with a lifetime warranty.

Where did you get it done at? I've been told I can get it done in my driveway for about 180.00.. that sound about right?

Yes and thats not a bad deal at all. I paid $120 for mine and that was with me removing the old one myself.

I got it done in a place in flint, they changed their name so I don't remember what their currently called.
its on the same road as sams club but before it to your right as you head south on the road.
it ended up being like 220.
Junk yard wanted 75 for used then install was like 120 including the window molding.
This is rough estimates of numbers because its hard for me remember.
i called around and made sure I got the best price.
most places wouldn't touch the used windshield without costing you.

Sounds like you have a good glass guy who is actually fair on the price.

Yep, small independent guy that pretty much works out of his van. I've bought 2 new windshield for my camaro over the years. the first one, I bought, Tinted it, then broke it on accident *&^%. then I bought another one from him, tinted it, and he installed it some windshields are more like with rain sensors and random stuff like that, but I know that these camaro windshields he charges $150 installed

Next time I need a windshield I think I am going to PM you to get his number lol.
Windshields are something that I commonly have to buy.
Had a rear window on a grand am, front windshield on grand prix, front windshield on a Trans Am all replaced within the past few years.

Yeah seriously, could you give me his number?? I want to get it done soon. It's in storage in a barn right now, which would be much easier to do than in my driveway. Bloomfield is a ways but I'd at least like to talk to him and see what we can work out.

It is, and if you were closer, I'd say run it. I have family in Bay City but I'm never up there, especially in my Camaro. But hey, if it just so happens you are ever down this way.. and you just so happen to have a 93-02 windshield on hand, get a hold of me lol.
