  • Wanted-Delco Opti

I'm hoping to get my car running its best before spring, and I think the opti is bad. Not positive, just a strong suspicion that the opti is causing my problems.

if anyone has a spare opti, that they know is good, that they want to sell, let me know. I can do cash or Paypal, either way works. I live in SE MI, but work in SW MI. Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area during the week, Belleville/Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area on the weekends. Hoping to get the car running right before I pull the motor to fix a couple of other issues over the winter, I don't want to start modding the engine just to try to get everything ironed out along with tracking down old problems too.

I plan to do my 24x conversion this winter and so ill have a good working delco opti i wont need anymore, but it probably wont be until sometime in december-february that it will be removed from the car. I need to test my new fuel system before i remove it just yet.

Probably not your ideal answer but throwing it out there, id give you a good price

Wasn't someone just selling their entire ignition set for like $140? Seemed like a good deal.

I bought a brand new GM Opti-Spark from Summit Racing when I had my LT1 powered 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood.

Ive got a used but working cap/rotor you could have cheap. Not the whole opti... but they worked when I pulled them a week ago. From a vented '95

Still got my whole vented opti set up.. but the cam is different on the vented then non vented.. so that would be something you would have to figure out

Assuming tha you have a 93 engine.... you will need a spline driven opti that is non vented... the 93's and I'm pretty sure some of the 94's were all like that.... the 95's and up use a pin driven opti instead of the spline and they are vented via a small line going to the cai that pulls a vacumn to the opti to pull moisture out of it.... wheeeewww such a wonderful idea gm

I have a 94 Formula, the 93 in my sig is now relegated to "parts car" duty.

i was considering upgrading to a vented opti, but that would require a cam swap, which isn't in the cards right now. Just looking for a standard 93-94 spline driven unvented opti to get the car running right. I will likely do the vented opti upgrade when I have the funds to do heads and cam in the future.

Ebay would be your best bet, get the whole opti though not just the cap and rotor.

I need the whole opti, as I mentioned above. Cap and rotor won't fix the issues I'm having, it's a problem with the guts of the opti itself. Lol

im probably going to order an opti online in a couple of weeks, and I should be able to get a new clutch around the same time. I just want this car back on the road before cruising season starts back up, and I have to spend the money to make it happen. Once I have an opti, I'll get it swapped and start troubleshooting other issues. It's hard to pinpoint engine troubles with any accuracy when a bad opti is making the car run like crap all the time already.

Search chandler motorsports on ebay. Nate has one and now so do I. Its holding up well so far, even with a higher-than-stock rpm limiter.

tearing my car apart this weekend and it better not be the Opti.

I have been an avid supporter of CMS but if this thing self destructed while I was going 0 Mph Im gonna be pissed. And then buy another one.
