Looking for 3rd gen parts..

well some of you know QUITE awhile ago i decided i would be a master mechanic and pull the camaro apart and do some work to it, well i did some work and then kinda got side tracked then had to leave MI, then got it back to MD and it kinda got pushed off to the side lol. well i need to buckle down and October 15th it either becomes driveable or im gonna pull the good parts off and sell/scrap it.

someone help me save her..... heres what im looking for, its all basic stuff im just tryingt o get my parts together before i tackle it in a few weeks... i know i can get these parts at a local Jyard or parts store but figure id see what people have laying around....


700R4 Trans Dipstick tube,
Y-pipe for shorties i believe ( Darren might be able to chime in on the headers i bought from him)
POwer steering lines
plugs and wires (as long as the arc thats all i need right now to make sure she fires up and runs good
any brakes. looking for stock stuff, im not sure if the pads will knock the rust off for me or not lol.


im sure im missing things i need but this is whats on my mind. like i said im not looking for all this to make it a daily driver, just to get it driveable again so i can move it out of the back yard then once i know the motor runs good and i didnt waste the rear trailering it back to MD i will buy everything i need new or better

Ok you lazy ass, but all that can probably be had within 20 minutes of your house! I have a Y pipe, I have wires, and I have plugs all of which you would be welcomed to, however there is one problem. They are here in MICHIGAN!

ill cover shipping and the ypipe is the main thing, and i reallydont wanna go pay 35 dollars for a chrome dipstick tube lol. thats all i can freaking find around my house. and yes part is im freaking lazy..... why do you think the car is still in pieces?

I will get out int he garage this weekend, yes this weekend because I am also lazy and I am also tired of seeing my car ATM. But let me check on the y pipe and see the condition it is in, I picked it up from a member on here a little while ago. I also have another set of shorty headers that this said y pipe was connected to, also some more exhaust piping a muffler and two polished tips... So ya pretty much a entire exhaust, haha

you two live close enough if i sent a big box to darrens house then you could pack it all into one box? i figure if i get a box big enough to fit the ypipe then the rest can sit in there..... is that possible?

what type of brake stuff you looking at? i have rotors calipers and old pads that have been outside for a bit. the calipers were in a bad. i probably have power sttering lines, is the trans dipstick from 88 k1500 the same? itherwise ill pull mine for you and check them

brakes im not to super worried about, but the dipstick should be the same any th350 or th400 or 700r4 or 4l60e lol should all be the same dipstick tubes if IIRC. my main concern right now is hearing the motor start and run on its own and see the car move on its own. then ill worry about getting on the drivable things done.

darren and i will work it out one way or another and get you a size box you need. hell i may even have my summit box thatd work. make a complete list of everything you need thats not on the one in the original post.

remember Darren is old and cant remember the condition of the Y pipe that I have, so give me till the weekend to dig it out. And no I wont go looking for it before then because it is in my second garage buried in the back, I will have to risk my life to find it,
