trans needed 400 turbo

im looking for a good 400 turbo trans to put in a freinds 72 montie we were at the clintion twp cruze and his took a chit and looking for a good trans to just put in he has a bbc in it so somthin strong

I have 2 turbo 400s and 3 turbo 350s you can pick from.
1. turbo 400- I think it is dated 1968 History unknown $160
2. turbo 400- heavy duty will be expensive
3. turbo 350 core- $70
4. turbo 350 works fine $150 removed from 1976 corvette, replaced with 4 speed.
5. turbo 350 fresh rebuild with 100 miles and 300 ATI convertor $450 currently in my 1970 chevelle.

will you Guaranteethe 160 to atleast work good go threw the gears he just bought one and installed it and didnt even work notta nuttin and paid 200 for it got a core

I wouldn't be surprised if worked fine as turbo 400s will take alot of abuse. What kind of guarentee do you want? I don't know the history of it as I am selling as a core value. If you want a guartee I can have it rebuilt but you could do that with the trans you have currently.
If you don't want to spend much and have a trans that works for sure buy the $150 turbo 350.
