Oh I know, thanks Brent. I have the fronts and 4 bilsteins coming in a couple weeks so as I wait for those I figured I'd look for some used. Cause I'm not sure if I want stranos or just go with the heater hose mod. I'll try the hose mod and if I don't like it and still haven't found some used rear stranos, I'll call Sam for some new ones.

Dad's getting all that crap of a mess cleaned up, what a PITA. Thanks for helping getting it back in business.

Sounds like a good plan. Did you check over on Tech?

Tell the old man I was glad to help....hope it works out. It was pretty nasty under there.... I would have offered to help clean up, but don't like my hands to get dirty

            1. I had to add heater hose to my rear stranos, and keep the isolators in the rear to get it to sit right
            2. Sam Strano comes off like a complete d***
            3. My car rides and sits very nice

That's interesting that you had to do that. I haven't really heard of people having to add heater hose to make the car sit correctly.

Sam's springs are the but I've also heard that he likes to talk badly about other companies' springs (BMR mostly).

Should be an interesting phone call with him.

The SLP-Bilsteins that bri2203 just installed on my car came from Sam Strano. Usually the WS6 Store has the best prices on the stuff I want, but Sam's price undercut them this time.

LOL Fred, I understand where you're coming from! There's no doubt he has a ton of knowledge, and his passion probably makes it easy for him to ignore that other people have knowledge as well. In my particular case, I admitted that I was a complete n00b because I've never upgraded a 4th Gen suspension prior to this, and in a way the purchase process reminded me more of an adoption agency interview rather than the simple purchase of some shocks! But hey, Bilsteins cost an arm and a leg compared to most other shocks, so I appreciated hearing his perspectives and his helping me to get the best parts for my goals.

Heater hose mod didn't get mine low enough for my taste...and I'm going to be running TD's this fall haha.

                  Used to own a Firebird.
