  • Stock Parts for 3.8 Manual BEATER

So my 97' camaro has 383,000 on the odometer, but about 400,000 actual since the speedometer has been broken for a long time. I am looking to spend as little money as possible on this janky ride. I need the following, and am open to taking pretty much any other part that you are willing to throw at it.
    MAF Sensor
    Stock Muffler
    Carpet
    Bushings of any kind
    Horns
    Any suspension parts
A cheap shop manual ( Haines, etc.)
    Cold Air Intake
    ABS sensors
    Clutch
Anything else that may help to keep this car going for the next three years...in Detroit. (Wayne State)

    Ambitious but Rubbish
Even in the Slomaro (Bessy), a Squeeling Tire is a Happy Tire.

Anything that Dennis does not take, let me know. I just bought a 3.8 car, and it kind of went ka-blooey on the way home

I have a stock airbox from a 2000 3.8 you can have if that does you any good.

Also have stock rear and front LCAs I'll let go for cheap, and possibly a stock panhard bar.

Also have pretty much an entire front-end as far as suspension bushings, ball-joints, and tie rods go, all brand new. I can cut a deal on them if you wanted anything.

Motor parts (besides a MAF) are pretty much all yours for the taking. I need parts to make ole' Bessy stop clunking... and maybe a little interior help too.

Those sound too good for Bessy. I'll post pictures of her beauty tomorrow. I think even the rubber bushings will outlast the body.

I just dropped him off some LCA's tonight. Z28 sway bar will follow shortly.

This thing is about as janky as they come. I love it.

I have a stock panhard (track) bar you can have.

And yes guys there is no saving this one, the cancer is terminal. It Was a bright green metallic Y87 too. Did you get a speed sensor dennis? Bessie needs to roll 400

I believe as a y87 it should already have a z28 spec sway bar. Albeit probably a broken one Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I know it's at least true for the rear.

Found the receipt for a new sensor from a few months ago so that's not the problem. the search continues. I want that odometer to set records.

I've kept most of my V6 parts on my car -- much to many peoples' dismay -- and I'm not sure it'll ever go LS1. But the Red Beast has a long way to go to catch up with Bessy -- like about 200,000 miles more to go!

Keep that old girl running! She's got miles to go before she sleeps!
