        Ls1? Do you need a tailshaft with a TA mount. SMC had a RPM level 4-5 the last time I was there

          Is the 3800 the same size as the V8????


          I got one still bolted to the old blown 3800 from the 96 firebird. Free

            Yes..LS1 with tailshaft mount. Not looking for anything special...just a stock used trans.

                    No, not the same. 3800's have a 60* bellhousing and are one piece. A later 4l60e from a 4.3 might work but the internals (?clutches?) might be different, or so I'm told.

                      The plan for said car is already has the motor in it. But the nephew got introuble so its just sitting in the corner in the shop till i finish coolant lines. Radiator brand new droped in. And put the battery in it. So not much left. Just waiting on him.
