M6 lower shift boot

Since being discontinued does anyone have/ know where to pick up the lower shift boot for a 4th gen m6? I know you can buy some lowe's thing that can be made to work but it seemed pretty janky IMO.

the retainer broken? a guy on ls1 tech makes them out of stainless

I think I know what you're talking about. It's a 6litereater design. What I need is the hard(er) rubber shift boot that mounts to the Trans tunnel.

Hmmm, don't know about those... I know that 6litereater is having a 15% sale this weekend -- PM me if you want the code. 6LE is supposed to have the leather boot and the retainer, but it doesn't sound like it's the same as what you're talking about.

Did you run out of duct tape or something?

I don't think duct tape is quite the cure I'm looking for! I put an aftermarket shifter in that required cutting the lower shift boot. At the time (this was several years ago) I figured I would just leave that shifter regardless. Well, that did not end up the case and now I have heat and fumes in the cabin and my pregnant wife sure does not appreciate it!
