  • Plastic Gas Tank

I'm looking for a plastic gas tank to swap into my '92. From what I understand these were in 99-02 Camaros/Firebirds. I think my tank is rusting pretty bad because I've had to replace my fuel filter twice in the last two years, so I'm looking to do this ASAP. Let me know what you have and how much you'd want for it. Thanks!

I would try schrams first or another junk yard. If you can't find one and need to go through a dealer I can get it cheaper for you. List price is $960 I can get it for $720. Junk yard should be much cheaper but might be hard to find.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check that yard out. I found someone on LS1Tech who wants $100 for one so if I can't find it locally I'll get his...I appreciate the offer though.

I have a spare gas tank that I pulled from my 99 Firebird. I'd have to stop by the place where I have it stored just to make sure its still there though.
Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere.

For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day, you shall have a track day, a Sabbath of competing, to time the FIREBIRD; whoever does any work on it shall be put in last place.

That would be great, do you know if you have the fuel pump and everything, and the filler neck? How much would you want for it? Thanks!

It has the fuel pump, wires etc. Has the rubber tube for the filler neck, but not the actual neck itself. I had to replace the one on my car b/c it was rusted and the valve in it was broken. I will find it Sunday and take pictures.

I ended up buying one from a guy on LS1 Tech because he had the filler neck too, so hopefully he'll send it out tomorrow. I hope you get this before going to the trouble of getting pictures and everything. I would have responded sooner but my girlfriends car was stolen a couple days ago and things have been a bit hectic.
