WANTED: Tint job?

Okay so i used to have this guy that was going to tint my camaro...he has blown me off a few times and i cant find anyone else to do it. I am looking to have my whole windsheild tinted 35% and side windows tinted 20%. Does anyone know of someone that can do it for a somewhat reasonable price. I cant find any shops that will do it in my area. I am pretty willing to drive anywhere within reason to have it done..just as long as it isn't over 3 hrs away. If anyone can lead me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Pro Style on BayRd?

Dukes does tinting also (well they did b4 I moved in 08 )

I always use Detail Express. Would be about $160 for the windshield + sides.

Thats crazy expensive!! I used the site sponsor when he had a promotion. My rear tint has a tear in it, he said he would replace it but I haven't had time to take it back. I later got a ticket for my side windows, that being said I think tints are a waste of money.

$100 for the windshield and $60 for the sides is more than reasonable. Plus they use Llumar tint which is the best IMO

Just for reference Superstarr charges $100 for the windshield and $65 for the sides...

the state boys are gonna be on you case in no time with the windshield tinted. ive had my 20% on my front sides and 5% on rear sides with none on the windsheild for about 6 months on my GXP and have been pulled over 5 times about "tint" sooo good luck with that haha

No business in midland, bay city, or saginaw will do it for insurance reasons

Ive have had 5% on all my window except windshield on my Bright red blazer for over a year now and i only got pulled over once...and it was because i had a tinted license plate cover. But it is nice haveing a tint perscription sooo i will have "good luck" with that if i get pulled over he cant do shit...if he try's to give me a ticket all i do is go to the cort house show my paper and the write off the ticket. So no worries here

I can do your sides. They won't be 100 % perfect but it will be inexpensive.

prostyle in saginaw is good, site sponsers arnt always good..... to the guy that would need to drive 2 hours to get it done. lol saginaw is like 5 min for this guy. about 20 min for ricky.

I'm sure you know more about the prescription law than I do since I only spent about 5 minutes worth of research but it looks like that only covers the front side windows. Good luck if you decide to go with it, I think it looks great I just don't like getting hassled for something like that.


Question: Can I have tinted windows on my vehicle?
Answer: The law that covers window applications is MCL 257.709 . The use of tinting is limited to the rear side windows, the rear window if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides, and the top 4 inches of the front side windows. There is a limited exception for medical necessity with a doctor's prescription, which allows for tinting to be applied to the front side windows as well. Michigan does not have a specification for the darkness of the window application, but does prohibit applications with a solar reflectivity greater than 35%.
