Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

when i worked at repairclinic, we were shipping out at such a high volume that we regularly got calls about parts arriving damaged. in that case, the customer cannot do anything through the shipping company, because the customer didnt choose who we shipped the part through. on that note, it was the customers responsibility to contact us for either a replacement or a refund for the order. once we had the customer squared away, we would have to file a damage report for the value of the item so that we could be reimbursed by the shipping company. this is how it worked when we shipped through fedex, ups or dhl. yes, being a company as opposed to individual allowed us to issue credit or send another part before getting our money from the shipper, so i dont know what turnaround time would look like for you, nor do i know how easy it will be for you to get a refund from this guy.
Just because Joel got a great deal on an OEM spolier, doesn't mean that its that easy to find another OEM one for that price. Start throwing around "replacement value" if you talk to the shipper Joel.
If this is the truth I would be livid. At the point that the seller relaeses it to the shipper, things are out of his hands. If it arrived damaged, why does that effect the seller? It doesn't, the buyer is the one with the issue, therefore would file the claim and recieve any replacement money. Not saying you are wrong, just saying the above scenario is the only logical one imo
Like Liz says, it is because the shipper actually "paid" for the transaction not you as the buyer. The money will go back to him because he was the customer to fedex and not Joel.

Im about done buying things online and this is exactly why i wanted to buy local. Even if i get my money back somehow the time and effort wasted is too much trouble.
Agreed, take pictures of the spoiler, the box, etc. Documentation is everything. I would still call Fedex and ask them what they are going to do to make this right

How well was it packaged?
He said it was packaged very well. Twice via email he told me how well he packaged it and he even has good feedback on LS1tech for packaging things well.
Turns out it was packaged horribly. When i saw the box it came in i was wondering how an SS spoiler was even supposed to fit in said package
