FYI 374's are on the earlier LT1's. thats where you will find them

                    hmm... I had 374s on my 95.

the longblock im picking up this winter i believe is an earlier engine.

earlier meaning like not a 96 or 97

EDIT: 643 heads are also good for porting as well

so if they are both good for porting is there a good reason to have one over the other?

IIRC 374's have slightly more room for error, but both castings will work just fine

everything I have read says either will work fine in an all-out build. they are very close.

yup joel and ryan are correct they are almost identical with the 374 having a slight advantage with a tiny bit of room for error i'd take either if i can find them...

                              joel why are you waiting?
