  • PCM tuning?

Hey all, I recently converted my car from an A4 to an M5, but haven't had any luck with any shops that can re-tune my pcm for the M5's different gear ratio's. So basically, my speedo doesnt work. Does anyone here have a tuner that can do this for me? I don't want to pay $300 for a new tuner if I am only going to use it once.
Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere.

For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day, you shall have a track day, a Sabbath of competing, to time the FIREBIRD; whoever does any work on it shall be put in last place.

I do but I'm really far from Hamtramck.

    Used to own a Firebird.

the VSS is on the output shaft. it doesnt care about the ratio. the the rpm leaving the trans(driveshaft speed)
      there is another issue

White Lake isn't too out of the way. I would'nt mind making the drive. Would you be able to reprogram my car for the new gear ratio's? Would $50 be enough?

The RPM's read fine but the speedo doesnt work. well, it sorta does, like when I go down the highway at about 75-80mph my speedo reads 30mph.

Walsh motorsports at I-96 & Beck. They do dyno with wideband tuning with HP Tuners on a Dynojet.

I'm actually at school in Big Rapids, but I wouldn't do it for any less than $100 because that's what two credits to unlock the pcm cost.

vehicle speed comes from the output shaft.
nothing in the trans affects that speed(ratio's). the rear gear, tire size does.
if you didnt change gears the shaft speed would still be the same for each mph.
the tone wheel or something is incorrect

right, but the reluctor gear on the tail shaft of the automatic is different then the manual. And others who have done the same thing say the same thing. Without a pcm reflash, the speedo will be off.
